EVERYONE seems to be wishing Ellie Simmonds the best on Sunday.
Here is what some of them had to say:
Councillor Dennis James, Lord Mayor of Swansea, said: "The BBC Sports Personality of the Year awards is one of the most anticipated annual events on TV. It's been a fantastic year for sport across the UK and Ellie's nomination alongside the likes of Bradley Wiggins, Jessica Ennis and Andy Murray speaks volumes of her success and the esteem in which she's held.
"What Ellie has done through her terrific achievements is raise the profile of swimming, the Wales National Pool, the Paralympics and Swansea.
"She's a fantastic role model who's an inspiration to people of all ages.
"On behalf of the city of Swansea, I'd like to wish her the best of luck on Sunday evening.
"She faces stiff competition, but would be an extremely worthy winner."
Jeremy Cole, general manager at Wales National Pool Swansea, said: "We are urging everyone to get behind Ellie in the Sports Personality of the Year Awards because she's such a marvellous ambassador for Swansea. We've been putting up posters to encourage our visitors to call the vote line for her.
"She is up against some tough opposition, but I think if there's anyone who deserves the accolade it's Ellie.
"It is a fantastic achievement that this year she's picked up two more Paralympic golds, a silver and a bronze medal as well as breaking world records to add to the pair of golds she won in Beijing.
"But when it comes to personality Ellie is truly unbeatable.
"We at WNPS have always known how Ellie's star quality has been a huge inspiration.
"Now, thanks to her success in London, the rest of the world has found out about her too."
Sarah Carroll, phase learning leader key stage 5 at Olchfa School, said: "Although Ellie is no longer a pupil at the school, we continue to follow her progress with pride.
"Her achievements in this year's London games make her a worthy candidate for Sports Personality of the Year, and we wish her the best of luck.
"Regardless of the outcome, Ellie's dedication will continue to be an inspiration to the students of the school.
"We will follow her progress with great interest. Pob lwc Ellie!!"
