COMPUTING students at Coleg Sir Gar's Graig campus have made international connections.

A group of 20 Italian students and their tutors arrived at the Llanelli campus to the sound of the town's Male Voice Choir performing as part of St David's Day celebrations.

"The bus arrived just as the choir were in mid-song," said computing lecturer, Anita Pugh.

"It was a perfect entrance and start to their cultural visit and they enjoyed celebrating the rest of St David's Day with us."

The college arranged for their visitors, from Viterbo, to tour the county and surrounding areas, which included Dylan Thomas's boathouse in Laugharne. The visit was complemented by a rehearsal of the college's performing arts students' portrayal of Under Milk Wood.

The college was officially eTwinned with Liceo Delle Scienze Umane (High School of Human Sciences), in 2011.
