The secret to being a millionaire has been revealed – and it involves hard graft.
One in five graduates who hold at least one university degree go on to become a millionaire, the Office for National Statistics say.
They say 20 per cent of those who complete a degree or other higher education, are worth £1 million or more.
But it can take a while for that degree to pay off - the under-35s were most likely to live in households with the lowest total wealth.
That contrasts with three per cent of people who are millionaires who have no formal qualifications.
Universities minister said that shows going to Uni is still valuable – despite rising tuition fees.
Married men and women were the most likely to live in households worth £1 million or more, the study also says.
Since 2006/8 to 2010/2 household wealth in Wales has risen 4.2 per cent.
