A FORMER treasurer of a Briton Ferry bowls club has pleaded guilty to defrauding the club out of more than £1,000.
Roderick Haddock, 58, pleaded guilty to one count of fraud by abuse of position when he appeared at Neath Magistrates Court yesterday.
Haddock, of Victoria Street, is the former treasurer of the Briton Ferry Steel Bowls Club.
He pleaded guilty to defrauding the group out of the cash — described as a "little over" £1,000 — between October 2011 and October 2012.
Magistrate chairman Howard Davies said: "Because of the seriousness of the offence we are going to ask for an all options report to be done."
The case was adjourned until Thursday morning.
Haddock was released on unconditional bail.
