THE Memphis Six, West Wales's popular traditional jazz outfit, can be heard tonight at 8.30pm at the Mumbles Conservative Club.

Tomorrow evening the Amigos, with a variety of material ranging from gypsy jazz to Hot Club of France swing, will appear at the Bay View, Oystermouth Road.

One of Britain's most under-rated trumpet and flugelhorn players Dick Pearce, is the guest musician at Swansea Jazzland's presentation in the St. James Social Club, Uplands, next Wednesday, starting at 8.30pm.

He is best remembered from his lengthy spell with Ronnie Scott's Quintet between 1980 and 1994. Since then, apart from leading his own occasional band, he has regularly toured and appeared solo throughout the UK.

On this occasion, he will be accompanied by the Dave Cottle Trio.
