West End star John Owen-Jones to perform with Morriston Orpheus at the Brangwyn Hall

HE has trodden the boards of the West End and Broadway — but the Brangwyn Hall is where he has longed to perform.

Burry Port boy John Owen-Jones, best known for his performances as Jean Valjean in Les Miserables and as The Phantom in The Phantom of the Opera, is guest at the Morriston Orpheus Choir's annual concert at the Swansea venue on April 13.

He said: "I'm looking forward hugely to performing with the Morriston Orpheus and I can't wait to perform at the Brangwyn Hall: A fantastic venue that I've wanted to play for as long as I can remember. I'm especially excited by the possibility that, during the interval, I can pop out for an ice cream from Joe's!"
