UNDER-FIRE West Brom boss Pepe Mel is facing a potential injury crisis for a trip to Swansea City which could decide his fate at The Hawthorns.
The Baggies were rocked yesterday by news that skipper Chris Brunt is facing around six weeks out with a knee injury suffered in last weekend's 3-0 home defeat to Manchester United.
And Albion also have fitness concerns over two more players who limped out of the United clash.
Holding midfielder Claudio Yacob is nursing a tight hamstring, while full-back Steven Reid has a knee problem.
Reid's fellow right-back Billy Jones is battling to be fit having been out for almost three weeks out with a hamstring injury.
But it could be that Mel heads to the Liberty with no specialist right-back in the ranks — while central defender Diego Lugano definitely misses out.
The busy treatment room means Mel could be short of options for a game which could be crucial for his West Brom future.
The former Real Betis boss has yet to win in seven games since taking charge at Albion, and there are suggestions that he will be sacked if Swansea triumph in Saturday's Liberty six-pointer.
