PAUL Potts and his wife Julie-Ann look happy and stylish on the red carpet at the premiere of One Chance last night.
It was a night they could only have imagined in their wildest dreams before ‘that moment’ on Britain’s Got Talent.
But those dreams which became reality have now been turned into a film which was shown for the first time in London’s Leicester Square.
BELOW: The trailer for One Chance:
James Corden, 35, plays 43-year-old Potts in the biopic, and was met by rapturous applause as he stepped on to the red carpet.
X Factor judge Gary Barlow was also there, along with a host of other stars.
In the film Potts’s vocals are dubbed over Corden’s.
Corden is reported as saying: “I thought I might be able to and then I sang for our producer and he said, ‘No, we’re going to have to get someone else to do that’.
“Apparently there’s a big leap between being able to sing and singing opera, so it became very obvious very, very quickly that I wasn’t able to sing Nessum Dorma quite as well as they needed me to.”
The film tells the story of Potts’s life prior to his memorable BGT audition in 2007 as he struggles to make it as an opera singer.
“I never really read the script as Paul Potts’ life story because this is just one part of his journey,” said Corden.

“I just always saw the film as about a young boy from an industrial steel town in Wales dreaming of being an opera singer in a world where no one really listens to opera, and through tremendous adversity never really gives up.”
Julie Walters and Colm Meaney, who play Potts’s parents, were also at the screening.
Walters is reported as saying: “James was fun to work with, people often ask that about other actors and you think, “No” but actually it was really good fun.
“He’s lovely, very talented and very funny. We did have some laughs.’
One Chance hits cinemas on October 25.
