VIDEO: Cast of Cardiff-bound The Lion King treat flight passengers to impromptu performance

THE Lion King is coming to Cardiff this year, but if you were on a Virgin flight from Brisbane to Sydney, then you’ve already had a sneak peek.

For members of the cast of the hit Disney show treated passengers on the Virgin flight 0970 to an a capella version of Circle of Life.

Buyi Zama led the eight person chorus, which followed the Brisbane launch of The Lion King musical.

You have to feel for the passengers arriving on the aircraft at that point though, wondering if this was what the entire flight was going to be like.

And for the poor air hostess, who clearly has a job to do, a capella, or no a capella.

The Lion King is in the Wales Millennium Centre from November 6 to January 7.
