NOW that's some warranty!

Ten years ago, Phil Hunt's wife Angela bought him some vouchers as a birthday gift, entitling him to four golf lessons at Gowerton Golf Range.

But before he could take advantage, he misplaced them and they have remained missing ever since.

But when he going through some old photos recently, the vouchers turned up and Phil was delighted to find out they were still valid.

He said: "My wife bought me the tickets for my 41st birthday.

"I thought it was a great gift, and I would go and have some lessons, but then I lost the vouchers.

"Then recently my daughter was coming up to her 18th birthday, so we pulled out some old photos to put into an album for her. And there we found the vouchers. There was no expiry date on them, but I never thought they would still be valid.

"But I thought I'll give them a ring anyway. I spoke to their golf pro, Mike Hobbs, and I explained the situation.

"I think he was quite surprised when I told him they were ten years old, but he said he would honour them, which I think is fantastic, after all that time.

"Fair play to the fella, I think he has been very good to do that."

Despite having a few attempts at golf over the years, Phil is now taking up his lessons with Mike.

Mike, from Three Crosses, has been with the club for 21 years. He said: "Most people use their vouchers within six months to a year.

"But sometimes they are not used for even longer. It might be they are given as a gift to someone who doesn't want it, and passes them on, or they get lost.

"In fact, I've had vouchers that were bought 13 years before, which I have honoured.

"I've spent the money which they paid a long time ago, so I think it's only right to honour them!"
