A TAKEAWAY delivery driver accused of sexually assaulting a woman says he was "a complete gentleman" on the night of the alleged offence.
Alaa Alkargholi denies sexual assaulting the woman by stroking her leg, offering her money for a kiss and touching her breast.
The woman, who cannot be named, has told the jury: "He touched me between my legs and I told him to stop the car, and as I turned. . . he grabbed my face to kiss me. As I pushed back he grabbed my breast."
The woman said she did get back in the car after money was exchanged.
She said married Alaa Alkargholi, aged 47, of Gower Road, Killay, offered to give her a lift, something he denied when he gave his evidence.
Alkargholi, said he moved from Iran two years ago and the woman had told him a kiss from her was "a present".
He told the jury: "It's no problem for a man to enjoy company of a female, but with respect."
When prosecuting barrister Paul Hobson, cross-examined Alkargholi, he asked: "Was there any sexual interest for you?"
Alkargholi replied: "I exactly respected my limitations as a human being and I knew where to stop."
Mr Hobson asked: "You behaved like a complete gentleman?"
"Yes," he replied.
The jury will continue their deliberations today.
