SWANSEA City have seen a bid for Belgian striker Michy Batshuayi turned down.

Swansea are thought to have tabled an offer of 3 million euros – just over £2.5 million – for the 19-year-old Standard Liege frontman.

Belgian Under-21 international Batshuayi scored 12 goals last season to help his club finish fourth in the Belgian top flight and qualify for Europe as a result.

The suggestion is that Swansea could yet land the forward if they improve their initial bid.

I hope we can nail this lad as he sounds promising, though we ain't out of the woods by no means yet; with our Michael Laudrup , will he won't he go palava on everyones minds. I have a feeling in regards to his agent, that this was a set up, which could open a door to make the parting of the waves easier for Michael. I hope I'm wrong but the vibes are there for all to see, you can make their own prognoses and conclusions. In shrewd Huw and The Board I trust fully.
