NEIL Taylor hopes to step his comeback from a long-term ankle injury when Swansea City Under-21s take on Colchester United at the Liberty Stadium tonight (7pm).

Taylor is pencilled in for his second appearance for Kris O'Leary's side after playing 45 minutes against Queens Park Rangers last month.

"Neil will play for as long as he can," said Swansea boss Michael Laudrup.

"Up until now he has been looking fine in training, so that's good to see."

Taylor has been sidelined since shattering his ankle in the Premier League game against Sunderland back on September 1.

But the Welsh international left-back hopes he will be in contention for a first-team return at some point in April.
