SWANSEA City have reportedly tabled a £2.5 million bid for Getafe striker Alvaro Vazquez.
Michael Laudrup stated during pre-season that he did not want to sign any more Spaniards after recruiting three La Liga players - Jose Canas, Jordi Amat and Alejandro Pozuelo - over the summer.
But there are now suggestions that Laudrup has gone back to Spain with an offer for Vazquez.
Espanyol product Vazquez only moved to Getafe last summer, but struggled to make an impact with the Madrid club last season.
However, the 22-year-old has an impressive record for both the Spanish Under-21s and Under-20s.
Laudrup has made it clear that he is determined to sign a forward before next Monday's transfer deadline.
If Vazquez signs, Swansea will have eight Spanish players in their first-team squad.
