SWANSEA City are being linked with a move for Kolbeinn Sigthorsson as Garry Monk's striker search continues.
Monk is keen to add at least one new centre-forward to his squad this summer, and has already made moves for Michy Batshuayi and Luc Castaignos.
Now reports in Holland suggest the Swansea boss has made a bid for Ajax frontman Sigthorsson, who has also been linked with the likes of West Ham, Leicester and Queens Park Rangers.
The 24-year-old has netted an impressive 15 goals in 23 international appearances for Iceland.
Sigthorsson, who joined Ajax from AZ Alkmaar in a deal worth around £3.5 million three years ago, scored 12 goals last season.
Ajax are said to want around £8 million for a player who has captained his country.
Meanwhile, Sunderland are said to have tabled a bid for Swansea skipper Ashley Williams as speculation over his future continues.
