SWANSEA City could move for Manchester City youngster Abdisalam Ibrahim this month if Michael Laudrup opts to bolster his midfield.
Swansea are considering their transfer market options with a fortnight to go until the January window closes.
And having decided not to recall Ki Sung-Yueng from his loan spell at Sunderland, it could be that Laudrup goes in search of a fresh face in central midfield.
Norway starlet Ibrahim would be a bargain option, for he is thought to be available for as little as £250,000.
Swansea are thought to be one of a number of clubs who are monitoring Ibrahim.
The 22-year-old has also been linked with the likes of Everton, Aston Villa, Southampton, St Etienne and Lille.
He has made just three first-team appearances for City since joining the Manchester club as a teenager, and has recently been on loan with Norwegian side Stromsgodset.
