Swansea City's Chico Flores has been ruled out of Sunday's Capital One final against Bradford City due to injury.
The centre-back, who ruptured ankle ligaments in the Swans 4-1 win over QPR a fortnight ago, had received treatment at Barcelona.
Flores said on Twitter he was training on the beach early this morning. He added: "I want to be at Wembley !!!"
Michael Laudrup said: “He tried to go out and do something on the training ground today but it was much too early. We all knew that really.
“We are talking about an injury which normally keeps you out for four to eight weeks, and it is only two weeks since he got injured.
“We tried everything, but we realise it’s too soon.”
Laudrup must now decide who plays in central defence instead.
The Swans confirmed there are no other injury worries. Wayne Routledge has been ill but should be fit for Wembley.
The Swans also revealed Swansea goalkeeper Gerhard Tremmel will start against the Bantams.
