JAMES Loveridge’s spectacular long-ranger salvaged a draw for Swansea City’s Under-21s against Charlton Athletic.
Kristian O’Leary’s men fell behind in the first half thanks to a goal from Michael Smith.
But in miserable conditions at Stebonheath Park, Swansea battled to back and equalised 20 minutes from the end when substitute Loveridge rattled home from 25 yards.
Swansea included Oscar Sielva, a former Spanish Under-19 international who has been without a club.
The 22-year-old former Espanyol midfielder left Malaga B at the end of last season.
Lee Lucas and Rory Donnelly were also involved having been on the first-team bench at Manchester United last weekend, while winger Gwion Edwards featured having cut short his loan spell with Scottish Premier League side St Johnstone.
Swansea City Under-21s: Davies, Shephard, Meade, Sielva, Jones, Tancock, Edwards (Loveridge 62), Lucas (Hedges 62), Sheehan, Donnelly, Gorre. Subs not used: Zabret, Gogic, Evans.
