PORT Talbot Town could seal their place in the Championship Conference by recording a third straight win when they host Bala tomorrow (2.30).

The fifth-placed Steelmen will ensure a top-six finish if they win and Carmarthen fail to triumph at Connah's Quay.

Back-to-back wins over Afan Lido have put Scott Young's side in a strong position to be competing for top honours after the mid-season split.

But the former Cardiff City defender has mounting selection worries to contend with ahead of the Lakesiders' visit to the GenQuip Stadium.

Young will be forced into making three changes from the side which emphatically overcame Lido 6-1 last weekend.

Jeff White, Lee John and Daniel Sheehan are all serving one-match bans.

Defender James Bloom is expected to make a timely return from suspension, while former Swansea City striker Chad Bond could feature for the first time since rejoining the club following a spell playing in America.

Port Talbot will allow supporters to pay what they want to gain admission for the game in an attempt to boost attendances.

"We've tried many things over the past few seasons, a number of different initiatives which haven't really taken off as we would have liked," said chairman Andrew Edwards.

"This scheme is new, different and we're hoping we can get a positive response from it.

"We've been disappointed with the lack of support so far this season and the players and management deserve better.

"We're playing a good standard of football and it's disappointing that the public don't support the Welsh Premier League and its clubs.

"Port Talbot Town are a family-friendly club, we do a lot of work within the community and by running this initiative, we hope to get people in and change their perspective."

The Steelmen's final match before the mid-season split will be against Bangor at Farrar Road on Saturday, January 19.
