STUDENTS at Gower College Swansea have received certificates after successfully completing a 40-mile walk for charity.

The walk, through the Cannock Chase area of Staffordshire, raised money for several good causes including the college's own Kenya Project which aims to maintain a feeding programme for more than 120 of the poorest pupils at Madungu Primary School.

Gower College Swansea lecturer Ian Peabody said: "Not only did the students have a great experience but they also worked really hard to raise as much sponsorship across the college as possible."

Students were congratulated at the Gorseinon campus by college principal Nick Bennett.
