The soldier who died on the Brecon Beacons has been named.
The Ministry of Defence (MoD) this evening confirmed the soldier was Captain Rob Carnegie of the Royal Signals.

The soldier died on Corn Ddu, the peak next to Pen y Fan on Saturday night. Dyfed Powys Police said a "sudden death" was reported to them at 9.42pm.

It is understood Captain Carnegie was originally from Dublin.

In a statement, the MoD said: "It is with great sadness that we confirm the Cpt Rob Carnegie of the Royal Signals has died in an incident in the Brecon Beacons.
"The soldier's family have been infomred and are being supported. Our thoughts are with them at this difficult time.
"As is normal in circumstances such as this, the incident is being investigated and it would be inappropriate to comment further."
