ITAY Shechter insists he's not worried about bagging a first Premier League goal as long as Swansea City are flying.

Shechter is yet to find the net in seven appearances since agreeing a loan switch from Kaiserslautern.

But the Israeli striker reckons the team's form is the only thing that matters.

"I hope the first goal will come soon, but I don't think about it too much," he said.

"The most important thing is the points for the team.

"I've been really happy with the support for the team, the supporters always shout very loudly and push the team on."

Shechter has been handed more chances to impress of late, having spent plenty of time on the bench earlier in the season.

"I've waited for my chance and I am very happy to come in and help the team do well," he said.

"When the team need me, whether it's for ten minutes, 15 minutes or 90 minutes, I will give everything.

"I'm really enjoying my time here and the team are in a good moment.

"It's not easy when you are not playing, but the important thing is the team, not me.

"When the team win I am very happy whether I've played the whole game or ten minutes."

The win against Arsenal sent Swansea seventh in the table and raised expectations about what Michael Laudrup's side might achieve this season.

But Shechter revealed they have set no targets.

"We don't need to think too much about the league position, it's more important that we continue to work hard," he added.

"After 30, 31 games then we will speak about where we can finish.

"We have confidence, but we keep that within the team and don't speak about where we could go in the league."
