Swansea-based Security Centres has become the latest business to be acquired by The Securus Group – a Nottingham-based company embarking on a UK-wide buy and build strategy funded by a multi-million pound funding package from NatWest.

Its portfolio already includes Suffolk Electrical Services, AIS Total Security, TFS Systems, CEL Electrical Logistics, Goldshield Electronic Security, Diverse Communication Services, and Rodgers.

The businesses all design, install and maintain electronic security systems including warden control systems, access control systems, fire detection, CCTV and intruder alarms, and emergency lighting.

More than 200 people are now employed by the group, which formed by Stuart Glover in 2008 following a buy-out backed by NatWest.

Glover said: "It is an exciting time for The Securus Group as we look to continue to expand our portfolio and develop new business opportunities. Having a committed acquisition facility available from NatWest enables us to deploy capital quickly should we need to and shows the bank has confidence in us and what we are doing."
