THE regeneration specialist leading the Coed Darcy Urban Village development has hired a residential land director for South Wales.

St Modwen launched the second phase of housing at the £1.2 billion development at Llandarcy in November last year.

The firm has appointed Ben Cook to manage the residential aspects of its developments across the South West and South Wales.

Mr Cook said: "This is an exciting time to be joining a successful UK-wide company with a strong regional presence in South Wales."

The second phase of housing at Coed Darcy is expected to see 880 construction jobs created through the development of 302 properties at the northern end of the 1,060 acre site.

Four schools are also planned for Coed Darcy.

Why are the houses so on top of each other? 1st phase shows everyone parking on the streets, you cannot pass a car through sometimes, simply rubbish planning.
