Parents Steve and Claire John are on the final push to raise the necessary £50,000 after getting the green light for their 3-year-old daughter Eva Rose to undergo a selective dorsal rhizotomy operation across the pond.
The family now has just £16,000 left to raise. Fifty-year-old Mr Skinner, of Gelli Road, said: "I have raised a fair bit of money so far — it is freezing!"
