POLICE have released CCTV of a van they want to trace in connection with a woman who was found lying beside a busy road with injuries to her head and body.

The 30-year-old was found in Morfa Road, The Strand, sometime between 7pm and 8.30pm on Monday, November 5.

CCTV footage has been viewed and officers believe that at around 8pm a white-coloured, long wheel base van was seen in the vicinity of where the victim was found.

The victim is still undergoing treatment at Morriston Hospital, where her condition is described as stable. Detective Inspector Darren George, of Swansea Central CID said: "Having made extensive enquires we are still not fully aware how this young woman has sustained her injuries.

"Officers have viewed a substantial amount of CCTV footage and along with other enquiries have identified a white van in the vicinity of Morfa Rd at the relevant time; this van may or may not be connected with the incident.

"I am appealing to the driver of this van to come forward as they may hold important information which will assist our investigations."

Anyone with information is asked to contact Police in Swansea on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111
