Police are appealing for help to find three convicted robbers who have gone on the run.

Officers are advising the public not to approach the men, but to call police if they have any information on their whereabouts.

A Gwent Police spokesman said: "It is believed there may be a potential risk due to the fact that these individuals are no longer in the custody of the prison service."

Gwent Police has activated its operational plan with the aim of locating the individuals and the prison is co-operating fully with us.

"Members of the public are advised not to approach any of the men if they see them."
