POLICE in Port Talbot are appealing for information following a burglary at Baglan Primary School.

Thieves got into the Elmwood Road school by forcing a skylight window before breaking into a classroom.

They then stole 14 iPads from a cupboard.

Sergeant Andy Matthews of Port Talbot Police Station said "These iPads meant a lot to the children and they were disappointed to find out that they had been stolen when they returned after half term.

"There is no doubt that whoever is responsible for this burglary will try and offload the iPads in the second-hand market.

"I am appealing to anyone who is offered iPads for sale or has any relevant information to come forward."

The burglary happened sometime between 4pm on Friday, February 8, and 8.45am yesterday.

Anyone with information should contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
