PLAID Cymru party leader Leanne Wood met Swansea pensioners fighting for the security of their finances.

The party leader met with former workers at the Visteon factory in Fabian Way campaigning to have their pensions reinstated, at Swansea's Railmen's Club in Wind Street and said: "Plaid Cymru has been working with this group of people for quite some time through the process of their campaign.

"They have got a legal case which will be held in May next year and have been working with former workers in other parts of the UK.

"They have asked me to raise awareness of their case in the National Assembly.

"I am hoping we can arrange a meeting in the new year to enable the Visteon workers to inform Assembly members about what is happening to them with a view to getting legislation in the Assembly or Westminster to prevent what is happening to this group of workers from happening to others in the future.

"Everybody is finding it difficult at this economic time so nobody wants to be in a position whereby they lose out on money they were entitled to.

"They are looking for justice and I hope we can support them in that."
