THE second round of the 2014 British Truck Racing Championship takes place at Pembrey this weekend.
It is combined with races for the Welsh Racing Drivers Association Sports and Saloon Car Championships, Caterham Graduates and the ever spectacular Citroen 2CV series.
The track action began at 9am this morning, with racing under way from 1.30pm, and qualifying from 9.15am and racing from 10.30am tomorrow.
Admission is £12 for adults, accompanied children free on both days.
Drivers in the Pirelli MSA Welsh Forest Rally Championship tackle the Welshpool-based Plains Rally today. Roland Llewellin is the top Welsh hope, teaming up with co-driver Jamie Edwards in a Mitsubishi Evo 9.
Last weekend's Manx National Rally on the Isle of Man proved to be one of triumph and disaster for Wales. Jason Pritchard and Phil Clarke arrived back at the TT Grandstand as victors, as Paul Bird and Port Talbot MC co-driver Aled Davies saw their lead end in a huge accident with just two stages to go.
Their Focus mounted a bank on the second run and rolled several times. There were no injuries.
Better luck went to Skoda WRC duo John Stone and Carl Williamson of Ammanford, who took fourth place.
The second round of the REIS MSA Asphalt Rally Championship was also fraught for defending champion Damian Cole, the Welshman running strongly for much of the event until a throttle problem put him out on the penultimate stage.
