COMMUNITY police officers have been clamping down on problem drivers in Port Talbot.

Members of Sandfields Neighbourhood Policing Team have stepped up their patrols outside Rhosafan and Tir Morfa Primary School following complaints drivers were parking in front of the crossing.

PCSO Strangward said: "During the patrols some drivers were warned about the manner in which they parked their vehicles and, since the warning, overall the situation has improved.

"Traffic wardens have also been notified of the problems being faced by the schools, and in addition both schools have also sent letters home to parents highlighting the issue of parking problems."
