NEWCASTLE midfielder Yohan Cabaye says their performances have not been good enough this season.

The Magpies host Swansea City on Saturday, after last Sunday's 1-0 home defeat to West Ham left them tenth in the Premier League table.

It was only a third league defeat of the season for Newcastle, but France international Cabaye has been disappointed with the Toon's displays.

"It has not been bad, but it has not been good enough either," he said.

"We have played well but we can play better than we have done.

"Every game has been tough and we have had a lot of injuries and sus- pensions. It seems like every game we are missing a big player for one reason or another.

"We need to keep working hard, because if we stop working then it will be very difficult to get up towards the top of the league again."
