FORMER Neath model Samira Mohamed Ali is heading for an adventure in time and space after signing up for a Doctor Who film.
It is not part of the official BBC TV series but is set to become one of the biggest fan-funded movies of all time, to tie in with the long-running sci-fi show's 50th anniversary this year.
Samira, 27, from Neath, is one of the first names to be signed for it.
"My character in the film is an Amazon woman," she said. "She was in the original scripts. She doesn't say very much but she is in these important scenes.
"Everyone wants to be involved in this project, all these big actors out there who want to be part of it. I'm going out there in November to film it, and I'm very excited."
Before that, Samira has three movies in the can, one of which — horror film Molly Crows — could be screened at this year's Cannes Film Festival.
Another is supernatural flick Spiritual Phantom, while the third, Baadshah, was filmed in India.
