MICHU has handed Swansea City a major boost ahead of tonight's League Cup clash with Middlesbrough by insisting he is happy at the Liberty.
The Spanish star has been touted as candidate to move on in the January window after his extraordinary start to life in Wales.
Michu is the leading scorer in the Premier League with 12 goals, and goes in search of his second Capital One Cup strike in this evening's quarter- final.
When pressed on the subject last week, boss Michael Laudrup suggested it would take a £30 million bid to prise Michu away from Swansea.
Now the 26-year-old has stressed that he is enjoying life in the white jersey despite links with Atletico Madrid.
"Right now I'm happy — I'm playing almost every minute and I'm very happy," Michu said.
"It's always nice that you get talked about with teams like Atletico Madrid, one of the largest in Spain, but now I am very happy in Swansea.
"By now to have 12 goals is great, but above all I am enjoying what I am doing in Swansea.
"But here you have to battle as nobody as gives you anything."
Michu, who cost just £2.2 million from cash-strapped Rayo Vallecano, goes down as the buy of the season in the Premier League at this stage.
He is expected to play some part against Boro — and believes Swansea have a chance to go all the way to the final.
"Why can we not be there at the end?" he added.
"Hopefully — it would be nice to be at Wembley."
