SWANSEA City star Michu has played down speculation linking him with a move away from the Liberty Stadium.

The Spaniard has  made a stunning impact since moving from Rayo Vallecano in the summer, scoring 12 Premier League goals.

It has led to speculation that he will be the target of a big-money bid in the January transfer window, with Atletico Madrid among those thought to be interested.

But the 26-year-old told Radio Marca: "Right now I'm happy, playing almost every minute and I'm very happy.

"It is always nice that you get talked about with teams like Atletico Madrid, one of the largest in Spain, but now I am very happy in Swansea."

If he goes he will go for a lot of money, so we will be able to replace him without a worry. You only need to look at what happened to torres to see how things can change. The real cogs at our club are huw jenkins, the board and people like curtis. These are the loyal servants who use their initial expertise and vision to get us talent like Laudrup, who in turn gets us talent like Michu. Its a big hierachy, but what is important is that the core people will always remain. When Gylfi left, we got michu. When Rodgers left we got Laudrup. When allen left, we got Ki. I hope ML and Michu stay, especially ML as I think he is perfect for this club and I think he will be given the time, money and respect to go good things here. Its also important to rememeber Michu is being fed these goals by a lot of other great guys. But even when I played footy as a kid, the strikers always got all the glory, its something I am sure all the guys are used to and if they are not then dont think the fans are do not realise this, cos we do.

He is happy here. Pablo, Angel and Chico are here, and don't forget Michael Laudrup is fluent in Spanish. We'll see what is going to happen next summer, but I hope he'll stay.

Hopefully ML will bring in a player or 2 in January to match the quality of Michu & Pablo Hernandez. These 2 players are far superior attacking players to anything at the club.

oh no, not Michu please!.....without his goals we would be deep in the relegation dogfight. If we have any aspirations to stay in the top flight we really need to hang on to our "Michu`s".
