EMERGENCY services were called to rescue two people stuck on a cliff in Mumbles last night.

Police and the fire service attended the incident close to Mumbles Rowing Club, shortly after 8.30pm, while Mumbles coastguard rescue team was also alerted.

A fire service spokesman said two men were stranded 25 ft up the cliff face, and were rescued using the service’s Sketty-based aerial appliance.

Neither man suffered any injuries, and the incident was over shortly after 9pm.

Maybe I have the wrong sort of sense of humour, but. I find this quite funny. Rescuing them from 25ft up shouldn't present a danger to the emergency services and the money spent on this is probably a lot less than the policing and cleaning costs incurred in Wind Street every weekend. A bit mad perhaps, but a lot less harmful than what many others get up to and at least they had a sense of adventure.

Some of you are so retarded as human beings. It says they were called out at 8:30, there was NO indication of how long they had been there before that, what sad little lives some of you must lead to be so selective with your views.

Climbing cliffs at 8.30pm. I suppose that's normal behaviour, is it ?

A normal pastime I suppose. Climbing cliffs at 8.30pm. The two men probably went home, and started welding their cars in the street at midnight.
