CARMARTHEN East and Dinefwr MP Jonathan Edwards has been selected to hold a debate in Westminster next week on a proposed wind farm development.

On Wednesday, March 6,

Plaid Cymru MP Jonathan Edwards has been selected to speak about the proposed Brechfa West wind farm development.

Through Parliamentary questioning earlier this year, Mr Edwards exposed how the UK government's Minister of State will pass judgement on the wind farm development without visiting the site, branding it an "insult" to his constituents and "nothing short of a disgrace", and sought a Parliamentary debate.

He said: "I am not prepared to sit back and allow UK government Ministers pass judgement on a major energy development in my constituency with absolutely no knowledge of the area or how my constituents could be affected."

This only goes to show that all energy projects here in Wales should be devolved to Cardiff. If you are for or against wind power the decision must be made here
