LLANELLI people will have the chance to lift the spirits of people suffering heart disease next month.

A fundraising evening has been launched by British Heart Foundation volunteer Claire Rumble, which will feature an appearance by clairvoyant Leigh Gameson, at the Stradey Park Hotel on Friday, March 15.

Proceeds will go to the Llanelli Heart Town Mending Broken Hearts Appeal.

Ms Rumble said: "There has been so much interest in the event so far — it looks like it will be a very successful evening."

Jayne Lewis, BHF Cymru's West Wales fundraising and volunteer manager said: "We need as many people as we can to back this great appeal.

"The goal is simple: to fund the research that could begin to 'mend broken hearts' in as little as 10 years and save and improve the lives of millions within decades.

"You just don't know when your family might be affected."
