The autumn series kicks off against Argentina at the Millennium Stadium on Saturday (2.30) with Wales's players hoping they can polish up Rob Howley's coaching CV by presenting him with his first win over a Test nation.

If the Grand Slam champions are to open the series with a win they will have to pass the traditionally stern scrummaging test posed by the Pumas, a challenge made more difficult by the absence of the injured Adam Jones.

In the Lion's place, Howley has called up his regional team-mate Aaron Jarvis.

The Exeter-born prop held his own last month against Marcos Ayerza, his opponent tomorrow, but Argentina will have noted the debutant in Wales's front row and will be sniffing blood.

South Wales Evening Post sports reporter Dafydd Pritchard is at the game. For all the latest pre-match team news, as well as live match updates, click play on our Cover it Live panel below...

No problems here it's only a friendly game, players don't want to be injured and I don't say I blame them.

World Class back division we were told by TV pundits before the start. Once again we use this statement on players that have not earned this accolade performing consistantly over a period of time. Wales today were very poor and lacked flare and imargination. The TV pundits will argue that the boys were a bit rusty having not played together for awhile, fact is, they were out played by the Argies !!! and from a team spread out playing their rugby across Europe. I am not a lover of Bigger but to be fair he is the form outside half this season and should have played. Wales had no plan A B or C and their backs ran the ball towards the touch line giving no space for the wings to run. Every team now knows what Roberts can do and is marked out of the game. The only positives that Welsh selectors can take out of this game is that Wales were very poor and need to improve 150% to have any chance of wining the remaining Tests.
