SOUTH Wales Police say 50 officers are now involved in the search for missing Six Nations rugby fan Ben Thompson.

Mr Thompson has not been seen since Saturday, when he travelled from his home in Haverfordwest to Cardiff for the rugby.
Officers say they are focusing their search on woodlands in the Leckwith area, as well as the nearby River Ely.
The force helicopter is also being used.

After watching the match against Ireland in the Millennium Stadium, Mr Thompson and was seen by friends in the city centre at around 6.30pm, and then spotted on CCTV some 50 minutes later near Leckwith retail park and the Cardiff City FC stadium.

South Wales Police chief inspector Eddie Ough thanked the public - and the friends and family of the missing man - for their help, and said the search was continuing.
He said: "We have had a positive response following yesterday's press appeal and wish to thank all those who have called us.
"The information they have provided has confirmed that we are searching the right area.
"Ben's family, friends and colleagues are assisting the investigation by speaking with the local community to gather further information and they are also arranging additional leaflets and posters for which we are grateful."

Mr Thompson is described as 5ft 9in tall, with short brown hair and blue eyes. When he was last seen he was wearing blue jeans, a white shirt with blue thin stripes, and brown boots.
