THE Evening Post's Pride Awards was a wonderful night of celebration in Swansea's Brangwyn Hall.

Stars including Neath mezzo-soprano Katherine Jenkins, Hollywood star Michael Sheen, Wales/Ospreys player Dan Biggar and Paralympian Ellie Simmonds sent special messages to our unsung heroes and singer Paul Potts was at the occasion.

    OwenCaerdydd, the answer is probably - yes. Most awards are not awarded to the good, more a case of who you know.

    So are the people who actually won the awards less worthy of having their names published on here than the celebrities who made an appearance?
