POLICE in Neath are continuing to investigate a sexual assault in the graveyard of St David’s Church in Neath Road, Resolven.

A 40-year-old woman was found in a distressed state by a family member at around 10.20pm on Thursday, May 1.

She was walking in the area when she was approached by two men who were in a blue coloured Ford Fiesta, the driver described as being bald.

Detective Inspector Darren George of Morriston CID said: “We are continuing to investigate this incident and I would like to thank those members of the public who have contacted us with information so far.

“We are still appealing to anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious in this part of Neath Road, Resolven between 9.30pm and 10.20pm to come forward.

“We are also appealing for any sightings of a blue coloured Ford Fiesta in the Resolven area at around this time last Thursday night.”
