A SOFTWARE firm has received a major cash boost from the finance arm of the Welsh Government.

KWR Technologies in Bridgend has received £250,000 from Finance Wales to support a business software tool.

The firm's managing director, Kelvin Jones, said KWR has already benefited from two Finance Wales loans helping support a move to larger premises.

He said: "This investment clearly demonstrates Finance Wales's continued backing.

"They have a great deal of expertise in investing in businesses like ours and we welcome this as it gives us another perspective on how to take our business forward."

Ann Casey, investment executive in Finance Wales's technology venture investments team, said Finance Wales had backed KWR with three investments.

The latest round will enable it to complete the development of its EnGenero software tool.
