TAILBACKS look likely on the M4 after a fatal accident.
A lorry driver has died in the collision which happened on the eastbound carriageway close to the Almondsbury Interchange near Bristol.
Police said the crash involved two lorries and that the eastbound carriageway would be closed for much of the day.
Great Western Ambulance said the lorry driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
Jill Risdale from the Highways Agency said there were "long tailbacks" in the area - with queues stretching back about 12 miles to Magor in south-east Wales.
She said motorists should "avoid the area completely at the moment" and that the eastbound carriageway was likely to be closed until mid-afternoon.
