IT won't be just Santa who is heading to Port Talbot town today as four other guests will be making a special appearance.

The lion, tin man, scarecrow, Glinda the Good Witch and Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz will be at St Agnes' Church on Forge Road for an autumn fair.

Canon Nigel Cahill, Rector of Aberavon, said the event will kick off at 11am.

"St Agnes' will be open with traditional stalls and lots of hot food to keep people going until Santa's parade leaves the railway Station at 3.30pm for the switching on of the Christmas lights at 4pm," he said. "At 2pm the church is judging a competition for the best dressed teddy bear or doll as a character from the Wizard of Oz."
