Dog rescued from river in Swansea

A DOG has been rescued from the river Tawe at Ynystawe.

Two fire crews from Morriston attended the river near the humpback bridge at 2pm.

A fire service spokeswoman said: “A Labrador was in the middle of the river and had been caught in some fishing line.

“Two firefighters were in the water.”

The dog was pulled safely from the water and crews left the scene at 2.27pm.

    At least it wasnt a human, they tend to act like lemmings when it comes to dogs in sea/river/pond, frequently losing their lives as a result!
