NEATH came out in force on Friday to welcome the big man to the town centre.
Santa took time out of his busy schedule to spread some festive joy from the Civic Centre to Angel Square, with hundreds gathering to cheer him along the way, many sporting some inspired fancy dress creations.
Father Christmas flicked the switch at 6.30pm, after the crowds were warmed up by live music in Angel Square.
One onlooker, Sarah Lewis, said: "I have been coming out for it since I was a kid and I try to make it to the parade every year.
"This is the best one I have seen. I think everyone has made a real effort this year to get into the spirit of it.
"There is a real party atmosphere and people have really gone for it with their outfits."
Prizes of up to £120 were up for grabs for the winners of the best dressed group in the Father Christmas Parade too.
If you didn't make it to the event yourself you can find Santa in his grotto at Zoar's Ark garden centre every Saturday and Sunday in the run-up to Christmas and, as if by magic, he is at Aberafan Shopping Centre every Monday to Saturday from 10.30am to 5.30pm and every Sunday from 10.30am to 3.30pm.
