Well, there is plenty of Xmas cheer around in the clubs this week.

There will be a raffle, some treats and more, including a visit of Ystradgynlais Mari Lwyd and Parti who will perform the songs and history of this ancient tradition.

On Sunday The Halfpenny Folk Club, Greyhound Inn, Oldwalls, Gower, have a Xmas Party with all the usual mayhem, carol singing, Mummers play, Morris dancing with Men of Sweyn’s Ey, pantomime, ballistic quiz and mince pies.

Then Monday you can enjoy yourself at the Riverside Folk Club's Christmas Bash in the Loughor Boating Club. Enjoy music and fun with all the regulars.

If you are up for one more party you can go along to Llantrisant Folk Club, The Windsor Hotel, Pontyclun on Wednesday for their Xmas Party No 2 featuring club regulars with carols, presents, snacks, surprises and a Xmas raffle. The musicians from the Cayo Arms in Cathedral Road, Cardiff will be calling in to the club to sing some well-loved Plygain carols too.

Fancy a festive dance? Then go along to the RUFF Ceilidh at the Sports & Social Club, University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff on Saturday. The band will be Juice & Dave Parsons.
