HEROIC passers-by jumped in to rescue a young boy who had fallen into the water at the Prince of wales Dock in SA1 after his mum lost sight of him.

The child, aged between four and five-years-old, was rescued just before 5pm on Saturday.

He was with his family in the Marina area near to the Beefeater pub at The Waterfront Development in Langdon Road.

The boy was found in the water with two adults, a floatation device had been put round him, a spokeswoman for the ambulance service said.
