LEICESTER prop Martin Castrogiovanni has been handed the captaincy in the absence of Sergio Parrise for Italy's clash with Wales at the Stadio Olimpico tomorrow.
The Tigers tight-head will lead his country for the third time as the Azzurri look to overcome the massive loss of Parisse, who has been suspended for 30 days for abusing a referee while playing for his club Stade Francais in the French Top 14 last weekend.
Fly-half Luciano Orquera and scrum-half Tobias Botes are relegated to the bench in the wake of the 34-10 defeat to Scotland with Kris Burton and Edoardo Gori handed the chance to impress.
The pair are among 10 Treviso players in the starting line-up.
Elsewhere, Antonio Pavanello is preferred to Quintin Geldenhuys, while Fijian-born Manoa Vosawai is given the task of filling Parisse's No. 8 jersey.
